Stuart Cooney - Editor of Victorian Bird Report
I joined the BA-Vic Committee in 2000 and took on the role of Secretary
until 2003. During 2000 I established and managed the Babbler's Nest website
and Birdline Victoria. The support resulting from the Birdline service
provided the impetus to resurrect the Victorian Bird Report.
I moved to Canberra to pursue a PhD that explores the ecological
relationships of the Hooded Parrot in Northern Australia.

Euan Fothergill - Activities Co-ordinator ?-2006.
I've been with Birds Australia since the Birds on farms project,
and have been interested in the art of surveying for birds since
then, I try to get to as many surveys as possible. I came to birding
through bushwalking, as one gets slower one tends to look around
a bit more, and I started to notice that there's more to the bush
than just a pleasant walk. It's now a good excuse to travel, having
joined the remote atlasing expeditions, and now getting in to some
overseas birding, my latest foray being into Israel for the Spring
migration. My favourite bird though is still a Blue-tailed Trogon
that was sighted in Java.

Bev Johnston - Secretary 2006/2007
I have always loved going bush. Although born and bred in the city I prefer being in the country.
My working life has been office/admin but to keep me sane became a volunteer with Melbourne
and Werribee Zoos, Australian Platypus Conservancy, Earthwatch, Trust for Nature, Field Nats,
Project Platypus (tree planting in the Wimmera) and in 2005, Birds Australia. Over the years
I have concentrated more on animals and their habitats, but this last year I have been learning
more about birds, identification and habitat. In 2004 spent a month travelling around
New Zealand Sth Island, looking for birds and also a month visiting most of the Treatment
Plant sites in Israel - great spots for birding.
